Every year we receive a small number of grizzly hides that have flaws preventing use as full hides. We cut those hides into sections and craft them into custom coats or vests.

Because grizzly fur is so scarce, we do not produce grizzly garments until we have a confirmed order with your measurements. At this time we only have photos of full grizzly hides; sample photos shown are of other fur coats and vests we’ve made, not finished grizzly items. We also do Black bear items as well.

General Steps to Determine Size

• Measure your body:

  • Chest: Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Keep tape level and relaxed.

  • Waist: Measure around the natural waistline (narrowest part) or where you normally wear pants, depending on the garment’s intended sit.

  • Neck (for shirts/vests with high collars): Measure around the base of the neck.

  • Sleeve length (jackets): From the center back of the neck across the shoulder to the wrist bone with arm slightly bent.

  • Shoulder width (optional): Measure across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

  • Torso length (for vests/long jackets): From the base of the neck down to where you want the hem to sit.
